Concerning Unconvinced Legislators
As a proud Iowan, Witch (High Priest), Socialist (politically-speqaking), and activist, I caught tonight's ep. purwly by accident--I wish that I could have recorded it for future references. Indeed, I was particularly offended by a commend attributed to the AMA, that "healthcare is a privelage, not a right!" One Rep. legislator made an identical comment, and it infuriated me, because it showed that he has lost touch with reality and was trying to gather the Amerrican people to fear the concept of a single-payer system as a form of "Communism". My only regret (besides not having Berne Sanders as my Fed. rep.!) is that I did not think to scribble this Rep. legislators name down when he made this comment.
Anyway, I have long-since wondered if anyone might have any ideas about how one might go about convincing, or at least engaging in a conversation with one legislators (usually Republican) who are obstinately opposed to the concept of a single-payer system fdor whatever reason, despite what the PEOPL and the PHYSICIANS actually want.
Oh, and I would lovbe to see some advertsements air on television that actually sell a single-payer system to the Nation and defend it against the scare tactics being levied against it by the likes of CPRights.Org!
Also, anyone got any other advice on how one could help out by supporting a single-payer system, especially if you're unemployed like me?
Take Care,
