Denied Health Care

I have been under this physician's care for the past six years and she recently denied my health care due to the fact that I have an existing bill of 6,000 dollars due to the fact that my insurance was canelled. After going through serious financial difficulties our insurance was cancelled prior to me giving birth to our second child, which we were unaware of until after my hospital stay. When I checked into the hospital I was approved. We had two checks returned due to insufficient funds and were making restitution with the insurance company when they decided to send us back our last two payments and cancel our insurance. During my pregnancy I also was treated for melanoma, I am wondering if this is truly why I was cancelled! Back to my physician, I was making payment arrangements with them after questioning a finance charge they were adding to my bill, questioning whether this was a charge cared payment!! When do they now have fiance charges, I never signed to financed anything. I had an appointment and called ahead because I was having some physical problems and they advised me to still come and be seen. I waitied 45 minutes and then was directed to the office at which point a secretary told me the doctor would not see me unless I paid 2,000 dollars to her that day. Needless to say I didn't have that and had to fing another physician. I have waited now 3 weeks with tremendous worry if there is something wrong with me in relation to my melanoma. I can't believe she denied me care knowing I have been having problems and that I have melanoma. Thank you for hearing my story. Michel
