The Horrors of the Unisured
I was without health care for over 4 years. Being in my 50s, it was very terrible to not be able to have exams, blood work, and x-rays I needed for broken ribs, nor to get follow up treatment. I finally found a clinic that works on a sliding scale, but could only go when I had the fee to pay. These places do not provide follow-up care. It is a one time thing and they treat the patients horribly . I finally got health care last year. I have so many things wrong that could have been prevented if I had previous health care. It's a shame that Americans have to suffer and not be able to get the health care they need to be able to live a longer life... someone needs to do something to help us all.
