I Thought I Had a Comprehensive Health Care Plan :-(

Had a bad reflux attack on a Thursday, called my plan to try to see my Dr, he's booked solid. So I wind up going to ER for the reflux. They give me an RX that settles my stomach for a little bit, it flares up again, try to call my Dr again, still cannot see him, wind up in urgent care. This time another Dr gives me an Rx for Protonix. Take it to the pharmacy and find out it isn't covered, I have to pay $135 for it. Good thing I took my American Express. Still waiting to get an appointment with my Dr. I wonder what I would have done if I was uninsured. Funny, my friends in Canada don't go through this!
