no one will help me

My name is Joyce, and I am 34 years old. I am the mother of four, and I have breast cancer. My husband works for a pest control company and their work is self insured. We pay $450 a month for our insurance. I was diagnosed on my 34th birthday.

We decided that a double mastectomy was the best course of action for me because my grandmother died of breast and ovarian cancer two weeks after being diagnosed, my mother almost lost her life to breast cancer at 37, her identical twin was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34, my father's sister died of IBC at 42, and my father died of colon cancer at 52 -- so I was very high risk for it to come back.

My mastectomy was suppose to be Oct 23rd. On the 22nd at my pre op the surgeon came and told me she could not do the surgery because my insurance would not approve it but if I could pay out of pocket she would be more then willing to do it. I went home devastated. We don't have that kind of money so I called my insurance company they said they believed my cancer was preexisting, and if I sent them a year's worth of Doctor reports they would approve the surgery. Well I sent them 10 years and they still didn't approve it.

My husband was hired by his company on April 4th, and our insurance kicked in July 1st. If I knew I had cancer why would I wait until Sept to get checked? Well we then met with Senator Knotts out of South Carolina. He personally called the HR woman at my husband's work who approves the surgery. She then claimed she never received any Dr reports, and as soon as she received them she would approve the surgery so we resent them. She never approved it. Then we filled a claim with the insurance commissioner that got us nowhere.  Then we started calling around to groups -- all cancer groups. Most told us they only deal with research and not what I need. The others said they cannot personally fund one person only groups.

So then Susan Koman referred me to A best chance for hope network they said I didn't qualify beings I was not 40 and I technically had insurance. We then went and applied for health insurance from the state they said we didn't qualify we made too much money. We make $25,000 a year..I know my time is running out. I was stage 1 in September but I don't know where I am at now because the Dr and hospital will no longer see me because we owe over $10,000 in bills from when I was diagnosed. I don't want to die. I just need one person who can help.

Please don't let me die.......Joyce

I want to help you

Joyce

if you are willing to go overseas (to Korea or India) I will help you. I represent a group of hospitals in overseas countries and they are doing a documentary. You would pay for airfare only for you and a companion (around $2000 plus food for your companion, we will cover the hotel). The surgery will be absolutely free and will be performed by a US trained surgeon. this is for surgery only and not chemo or radiation so if you need that, we might not be able to help there. Please get back to me immediately, my email is ouestdestiny@aol.com
